Message from the Principal
The flowering buds on the front of the Spring 2012 catalog reminds me that you can always get a fresh start at Oroville Adult Education. We have many students who come in to restart their academic career to finish their high school diploma and those who are looking for a fresh start in a new career. We have so many affordable options for our students to choose from. All of our programs are of the utmost quality and cost less than similar programs offered by other institutions. Our students have a high success rate on state certification exams and are prepared for the workforce. The variety of medical programs including Certified Nurse Assistant, Home Health Aide, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assistant, and Medical Billing/Coding, offer students a number of ways to get into the medical field. Along the same lines, we host Saturday classes by Boston Reed College for Pharmacy Technicians and Veterinary Assistants. Need CPR? We've got that too!
There are also career training programs in Office Technology and computer technology options that prepare students for careers spanning a myriad of opportunities in small businesses, corporations, and other institutions. Students earning a certificate in these programs are highly valuable in today's job market. Your need for updated technology skills can benfit in one of our three computer labs or in our computer repair facility. And if you can't make it here for class, there are online options for many of our classes including Solidworks CAD, Adobe Multimedia Design, and Business Applications. There are also many technology skills classes available to augment the skills you already have. Know Ubuntu? Need Publisher, Excel or Word tips and tricks? Nasty virus running amuck on your computer? We've got you covered there, too.
Need to try something fresh and new? How about a community education class in the arts or wellness classes offered at OAE? There is something for just about everyone. Please check out the website, call the office, or even come by to talk to Lisa or Brenda about how we can help meet your needs. Oroville Adult Education Career and Technical Center is here to help you make that fresh start to get you to the next step in your life and career.
